Thank you for sharing your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother with us at the Fairport Baptist Home. I had the honor of taking Joyce down to get her hair done and always enjoyed it when she'd be at the parties the W.S.B. put on. She willbe reatly missed but not forgotten! My condolences to you all. Sending our thoughts and prayers your way.

Joy was a wonderful grandmother who loved babies and even knitted sweaters and booties for them despite her arthritis. Even while in her sixties and seventies, her and her husband Harry visited others less fortunate through Meals on Wheels, giving back to their community. Joy was not without her quirks and habits. She loved getting permanents in her hair, watching tv movies, and having sherbet shakes. Whenever Christmas came, she insisted on having a card or keepsake that said Joy and decorated her home with these. Joy was a great friend to many and will be missed. She was very spiritual and is at peace now. We will remember all of these things about Joy that made her unique and imagine her as an angel now, perhaps from time to time visiting a sick baby on Earth and miraculously caressing her or him back to health. I am sure if there is a job like that for angels, my grandma would be first in line to volunteer.
