Anthony J. Alvarado

Licensed Funeral Director-Owner/Manager

A native of Newark, NY, AJ graduated from Newark Central School.  AJ was a nurse for 20 years with most of his nursing career working at Lifetime Care Home Health and Hospice for 17 years.  He is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a B.S. in Organizational Managment. He also is a graduate of Vincennes University Funeral Service Program in 2009, fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a funeral director.  AJ did his one-year residency with Waterman Funeral Home in Newark NY with Norman L. Waterman from 2010-2011 and received his funeral director's license in February 2011.  AJ has 16 years of per diem experience in the Funeral profession.  He purchased Young Funeral Home in 2013 from the estate of the late P. Gordon Wise.  He is currently the President of the Young Funeral Home. AJ lives at the funeral home in Williamson and has three children: Landon, Alayna, and Noland.  He is a advisory board member of Vincennes University Funeral Service Program, member of the Williamson Masons, and Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association as well as the New York State Funeral Directors Association.
