Anthony J. Alvarado

Licensed Funeral Director-Manager

A native of Newark, NY, AJ is a graduate of Newark Central School. He spent 20 years as a nurse, including 17 years with Lifetime Care Home Health and Hospice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Roberts Wesleyan College and later graduated from the Vincennes University Funeral Service Program in 2009, achieving his lifelong goal of becoming a funeral director.

AJ completed his one-year residency at Waterman Funeral Home in Newark, NY, under the guidance of Norman L. Waterman from 2010–2011, and received his funeral director’s license in February 2011. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the funeral profession and currently serves as the manager of Young Funeral Home.

AJ has three grown children and one granddaughter and resides in Webster with his wife, Shannon. He is a member of the Williamson Masons, the Rochester Genesee Valley and Ontario Wayne Yates Funeral Directors Association, and the New York State Funeral Directors Association.
