Wilma A. Smith
Newark: Entered into rest on 04/19/2023 at age 96.
She was born the daughter of the late William & Carrie Russell on January 19, 1927.
Predeceased by daughter: Sharon Phillips; grandsons: Mark Newcombe and Terry Smith, Jr.; sisters: Nora Jane Gorall and Doris Smahol; special friend Gene Elmore.
Wilma had a “green thumb” and could make anything grow. She worked at several floral facilities including Jackson and Perkins Rose Gardens in Newark, NY and later retired from Spinco where she worked as a solderer.
Survived by her sons: Terry and Jack Smith; daughter: Kathy Jean Goldbach; grandchildren: Shelley Gaston, Misty Brown, Brian, Jennifer and Jeannie; (11) great grandchildren and (3) great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, many extended family members and friends.
A private burial in East Palmyra Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
