Robert “Bob” N. Hopkins
Williamson: Entered into rest peacefully on June 8, 2023 at age 90.
Predeceased by his parents: Nelson and Gladys Hopkins: sister: Barbara Buck.
Bob proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1956 - 1958. He had a passion for kayaking, golf, woodworking, hunting and volunteering—always helping people without seeking any recognition. Bob was a 60 plus year Mason with the Pultneyville Lodge #159. He was member of both Pultneyville and Williamson Fire Departments and founding member of the Williamson Volunteer Ambulance. He was also a member of NOMADS, (Nomads On a Mission, Active in Devine Service), which traveled around helping with construction projects around the country. Bob was a faithful member of the Pultneyville Reformed Church for over 20 years.
Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Carol; sons: Bob and Dale Hopkins; godson: Russell Brown; sister: Janice Wangman; brother: Richard (Patti) Hopkins; brother in law: Richard (Meghan) Rinker; many extended family members and countless friends.
Calling hours will be held on (Thursday) June 15, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm at Young Funeral Home. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on (Friday) June 16, 2023 at 3pm at the Pultneyville Reformed Church.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Pultneyville Fire Department or Williamson Volunteer Ambulance.
