Marion: Ray, age 80, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. Ray was born in Rochester NY. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Tiberio Love. He is predeceased by his parents, Nicholas J. Love Sr. and Brenda P. Love; and brother William. Ray is survived by his siblings Nicholas (Carol) Love, Constance Gomez, Carol (Art) Hermann, Mary (Larry) Marangoni, and Lois (Daniel) Thom; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Tiberio, Jim (Daniel Jaquez) Love, Alice (David) DeMallie, Catherine (Ira Miller) Love, Peter (Tracy) Hermann, Karen Hermann, Brenda Abshear, Steven Gomez, Kelly (David) Barbato, and Michael Thom; great nieces and nephews, Cecilia DeMallie, Louise DeMallie, Ava DeFrees, Anson Barbato, and Harrison Barbato; many wonderful cousins, friends and neighbors.

Ray was a graduate of Penfield High School class of 1962. His college education was interrupted when he enlisted in the US Navy. He served on the USS Chilton and USS Taconic from 1964 through 1970. Ray retired from IBM and formerly managed Software Technologies in Henrietta, NY. He lived in Rochester, Pultneyville, Palmyra, Marion and Rutherfordton NC.

Ray’s interests included sailing and traveling. He loved being on the water. He especially enjoyed spending time with friends at Star Lake in the Adirondacks, and vacationing on St. John USVI.

Ray’s family appreciates the care he received at Sodus Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
