Newark:  Passed away peacefully on April 17, 2021 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center at age 76.

Laura was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico on August 18, 1944 and came to the Wayne County area in her early 20’s, where she lived and raised her family for over 50 years. She was known for her passion for cooking and the pride she had for her family.  Both of which she made certain were carried on to her children and grandchildren.  Laura was a member of the Spanish Association in Newark and a member of St. Michael’s Church. She is remembered for hosting many events in Newark in which she showcased her cooking and brought the Spanish community together to dance and eat while celebrating family birthdays and special holidays.  

Laura is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center and offer our sincere appreciation for all the loving care they provided for her in her final days.

 Family and friends may call from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Young Funeral Home, 4025 Ridge Road, Williamson, NY.  A mass will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 10am at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Main Street, Newark, NY.
