Hopewell - Joyce K. Foss, 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Joyce was born the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Anna L. (Showers) Balch on Saturday, March 7, 1931 in Sodus, NY. She was born in Sodus, where she attended Sodus schools. She chose to be a homemaker, dedicating her life to raising her son. She loved watching old western movies and shows, enjoyed The Voice, and had a special fondness for lighthouses, proudly building a large collection over the years. She also cherished time spent with family and friends, her beloved dog OJ, and relaxing with crossword puzzles.
Joyce will be remembered by her son, Raymond "Butch" Balch; grandchildren Raymond (Rachel) Balch Jr., Michelle Balch; great-granddchildren, Savannah Balch, Catrina Cornwell, William Cornwell III, Dylan Balch, Samantha Balch, Nicholas (Ivy) Lansdowne, Hannah (Wesley) Britt, Anthony Cruedele; many great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Balch; several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by husband Emerson in 2003; her brother, Stuart Balch; and a sister, Lucy (Bud) DeNering.
In honor of Joyce's wishes all services will be private. Burial in Lake View Cemetery, Pultneyville, NY.
