Joseph A. Difranco
Newark: Passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer on July 8, 2021 at age 64.
Predeceased by his parents: Joseph and Catherine Difranco; sister: Mary Difranco.
Joe proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the City of Rochester Fire Department after 25 years of service. Joe is remembered by most as “Joe Black or Blackie.” He kept himself busy in retirement manicuring the golf course at Greystone.
Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Diane; daughters: Crystal (Heath) Wadhams, Kelly, Kayleigh, and Casey (Jeff) Difranco; grandchildren: Kennedy and Anthony Wadhams; sister: Patricia (Gary) Thompson; brothers: John and Robert (David) Difranco; mother in law: Marie Margeson and father in law: Phillip (Sharon) Margeson; sisters in law: Donna (Brian) Patterson and Dawn Margeson; many extended family members and numerous friends.
Calling hours will be held on (Thursday) July 15, 2021 from 4pm – 7pm at Young Funeral Home, Williamson, NY.
