Harold was born the son of the late Clarence and Bertha Elizabeth (Cornwell) Sharp on Tuesday, April 2, 1940, in Rochester, NY. After graduating from high school, he began working with his family in the automotive business, selling cars and specializing in detailing and collision repair. He was exceptionally talented in his work, particularly in collision repair and detailing.
