Frances M. Strange
Frances M. Strange (Youngs) joined the Jamboree in Heaven at the age of 83 on May 15th 2025 after a 25 year struggle with a stroke and COPD. She was met by her Husband-Ronald E. Strange, her Daughter-Mary Katherine (Marykay) Strange, her in laws-Frank Anthony Jr. and Mary Gertrude Strange, her parents-Arthur and Lillian Youngs, 15 of her siblings-Marian, Lorraine, Jimmy, Doris, Tom, Bruce, Bob, Billy, Loretta, Teddy, Donny, Sonny, Vivian, Louise, and John.
She is survived by her 5 Daughters-Elaine (Todd) Levan, Tracey Strange, Veronica (John) Leone, Frances Scorsone and Ann Strange. Her Grandchildren, Elizabeth, David, Matthew C., Veronica, Candice, Alex, Jesse, Taylor, Isabella, Anthony, Clara, Devin, Jecey, Kaylee and Matthew M. She has 9 Great-Grandchildren- Lily, Riley, Alex, Winston, Gabal, Averie, Adily, Giovanni and Josephine. She also leaves her sister Phyllis Benson, sister and brother-in-law Elaine and James Leberth, and thousands of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mom loved and adored her grandchildren and enjoyed every phone call, photo, facetime chat, card or coloring pages she received. She loved her John Wayne movies, Wheel of Fortune, Hershey Chocolate, flapjacks, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with chocolate milk, hot dogs and her independent living choice. She was loved by her huge family and friends and will be missed by all. A special gratitude for Tony Smith for doing God’s work for the last 9 years as her main caregiver and especially the last three months when her breathing and cognitive skills were quickly failing her.
She is no longer struggling to breathe, and her final wish has come true. She is now back with the love of her life and her very special first-born daughter, hugging, kissing, dancing, singing, and doing whatever she wants without limitations.
We will miss her spicy attitude, her sassy quips and her determination to stick around long enough to see all her great grandchildren. Thank you to all that took the time to call and visit her and her staff that helped take care of her. Per her request, she did not want any funeral or memorial services but, we will have a Celebration of her Life in the Fall when it is convenient for the far away family and have Mom’s and Dad’s remains interred at that time. We will announce the dates and times on the Youngs Family Facebook page.
