David Eugene Miller

David Eugene Miller, 78, of Pasadena, MD, passed away at home on May 24, 2025.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Tee & Gee Bar and Grill, 6028 Big Tree Road, Lakeville, NY.
Dave was born on December 17, 1946, in Knoxville, PA, to William and Alice (Bailey) Miller. He graduated from Elkland High School in 1964. He worked for many years at General Motors and later retired from Southco.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Patricia (Smith) Miller; sons David Lee (EmmyLou) Miller of Fillmore, NY, and John (Mary) Miller of Gambrills, MD; and stepchildren Tim (Janet Slabaugh) Cretin of North Rose, NY, David (Chrystal) Cretin of Salisbury, NC, Diane (John) Blair of Lyons, NY, Daniel (Amy Cole) Cretin of Fort Mill, SC, and Theresa (Aaron Byork) Anselmo of Ontario, NY.
He was a proud grandfather to John Carter, Luke and Elise Miller, David Charles Miller, Tyler and Emily Cretin, Karen Tyler, Kristin Talcott, Steven and Matthew Blair, Logan Cretin, and Anthony, Joseph, and Nicolas Anselmo. He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren.
Dave is also survived by his brother, Bion (Melanie) Warren of Elkland, PA, along with a niece and several nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his stepfather, Bion Warren.
Dave will always be remembered as the “life of the party.” He loved social events, NASCAR races, and especially attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Summers were often spent preparing for and competing in the Hemlock Fair demolition derby—a tradition he embraced with passion and excitement.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
