Ontario: Cornelius "Chuck" Lantry, 80, son of Harry and Grace Lantry; Helena, NY; set sail on his next adventure unexpectedly on January 1, 2018.
He was a proud member of Carpenters Local 276, formerly Local 85, for over 38 years, and American Legion Post 428. Chuck served six years on active duty in the U.S. Navy with his last assignment aboard the USS Fulton (AS-11), a Submarine Tender, homeport of New London, Connecticut, and retiring from the Navy Reserve after twenty years of honorable service as a "Can Do!" Seabee.
Predeceased by siblings: John, Lucille, Margaret, Robert and William Lantry.
Survived by wife, Mary; children: Marke (Lynn), Stephen (Kim), Daniel and John Lantry, Deborah (Carlton) Baxter; sisters: Mary Hammill, Colleen (David) Smith, Paula (Albert) Sawyer, Patricia O'Reilly; sisters-in-Law: Patricia and Jane Lantry; brothers: Bernard and Dennis (Tracy) Lantry; grandchildren: Jason Kelly, Alexander, Nicole, Brandon, Bryan, Julia and Jillian Lantry, Clare Baxter; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on January 13th at 10am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Ontario, NY followed by military honors.
