Predeceased by her sister: June Humphrey and brother: Clayton Thaxter and son in law: Gordon Thiel.

Kay “Cat” was born on August 13, 1935 in Lockport, NY to the late Leslie and Octavia Thaxter.

Kay proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps.  She had a passion to volunteer with the American Red Cross.  She served and assisted on disaster relief throughout the country.

Survived by her loving children:  Jeffrey (Mary) Renner, Ellen Thiel, and Amy (Jerry) Esch; grandchildren: Shelly (David) Shaeffer, Stacy (Khang) Thai, Hannah, Kristina, Olivia Renner, Jennifer (Joe) Weinschreider, Jeremy (Melissa) Thiel; great grandchildren: Renner, Sheldon, Isabella, Joseph, Julia, Madison, and Ethan; sisters: Mary Allen, Peg O’Shaughnessy, Sandra (Richard) Tripp; many extended family members and friends.

Calling Hours will be held on (Saturday) June 22, 2019 from 3pm -5pm followed by a Memorial Service at 5pm at Young Funeral Home, Williamson, NY.
