Amy S. Damon
Amy “Sue” Suzanne Damon passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on February 12, 2022. She was 76 years old.
Amy was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who fully embraced every one of these roles. She was a truly selfless person, always putting the needs of others before her own. Amy worked tirelessly, not for her own benefit, but to be able to give “extra” to those she loved. She was an extremely humble person by nature and was never above poking fun at herself. Amy’s quick wit, sense of humor and comical facial expressions endeared her to many. She loved to read, watch the news and discuss current events. Amy also had a deep love of animals and spent much of her free time caring for stray and injured cats. Her strength and resilience during the toughest of times are a tribute to her character.
Amy was predeceased by her father, Joseph Brown, of Sudbury, MA. She is survived by her mother Ruth Brown and brother Timothy Brown of Sudbury, MA; her sister Peggy Brown of Maynard, MA; her sister Sheree Brown of Northampton, MA, her brother Peter Brown of Fresno, CA, her daughter Natalie Reale and grandchildren Riley and Jaxson of North Attleboro MA, her son Richard Damon of Williamson NY and grandson Zachary Damon of Kendall, NY.
At Amy’s request, no services will be held. While her family and friends grieve her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the following: Laurel House Comfort Care Home, 224 Fair Street, Newark, NY 14513 or to the Mew-Mew House, Cat Retirement and Hospice, 6606 E. Townline Road, Williamson, NY 14589

That says “Grieve not for me”
