Alan L. Plyter

Greece: April 30, 1935 – October 17, 2019.  Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents as well as brothers: Richard and Lawrence Plyter; brother in law: John Lucieer; sister in law: Ruth Plyter.

Al was born in Williamson, NY to the late Fremont and Hazel Podger Plyter.  He was a long time employee of Kodak and retired after many years of service.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Ruth; sons: Gary and Dale Plyter; daughters: Denise (Bruce) Lada, Lori (Dan) Joensen, and Kelly Craine; grandchildren: Eric (Tami) and Jason and Rebecca Plyter; Michael (Kim) Lada, Joshua and Brooke Cota, Jenna and Riley Joensen, Kyle Craine, and Taryn (Austin) Lyles; several great grandchildren; brother in law: Jim (Odessa) Pettit; sisters in law: Joyce Plyter and Lois Lucieer; many nieces, nephews along with numerous special friends.

A heartfelt thank you to Sue, Charlotte, Larry and Carol for the wonderful help during the last few months of Al’s life.

Calling hours will be held on (Monday) October 21, 2019 from 11am – 1pm followed by a funeral service at 1pm at Young Funeral Home, Williamson, NY.  Burial to follow service in Marion Cemetery.
