WILLIAMSON: VanHouter, Lillian J.; died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the age of 89. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6:30pm on Tuesday, May 7 at Young Funeral Home, Williamson. A funeral service will follow calling at 6:30pm. Burial will be at 11am on Wednesday, May 8 in Ridge Chapel Cemetery.      Lillian was predeceased by her husband Emerson; son Rickey VanHouter and brother Laverne “Bill” Mables. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Mike) Weber; sons Gary (Janis) and Roger (Karen) VanHouter; daughter-in-law Ilene VanHouter; sister Diane McNeil; brothers Arthur (Dana), James (June) and Dennis (Chris) Grabb; sister-in-law Marlene Mables; grandchildren Ryan Weber, Cindi Ospina, Jennifer McDonald, Linda Wells, Lori Froniear, Jacob VanHouter and Andrew VanHouter; 9 great-grandchildren and special friend and cousin Sheila Everdyke.

     Lillian loved to crochet, read and do crossword puzzles. She was known for her great apple pies. Lillian’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at DeMay Living Center for the love and care they showed Lillian during her extended stay there.
