WILLIAMSON: Petty, Frederick Stanley “Fred”; went home to be with his Lord and Savior suddenly on May 5, 2019 at the age of 82. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-7pm on Thursday, May 9 at Young Funeral Home in Williamson. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 10 at the Williamson First Presbyterian Church. Burial with military honors will be at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford. In lieu of flowers please consider memorials to the Williamson First Presbyterian Church, 4057 Main St, Williamson, NY 14589 or to Sands Constellation Heart Institute, 1425 Portland Ave, Rochester, NY 14621.  Fred was born on August 7, 1936 in Sodus, New York the son of Stanley M. and Cora Lockley Petty. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Fred and the former Patricia Strickland were married on June 30, 1973 in the Williamson First Presbyterian Church. Fred retired from Gleason Works after serving over 38 years as an electrician. He was very active in his church having served as an elder, deacon and treasurer, as well as singing in the choir. Fred was a member of the F&AM Masonic Lodge #159 and the Order of the Eastern Star in Pultneyville, NY. An avid Yankee fan, he also spent his spare time tinkering with model airplanes and rockets. Most important to Fred was the time he spent with his family and especially his grandchildren. Fred is survived by his wife Pat; children Russel (Vicki) Scott, Lauri (Delano) Sawyer, Mark (Bambi) Scott, Jeffrey (Annie) Petty and Lynn Petty;daughter-in-law Linda Scott; brother Jerry (Connie) Petty; grandchildren Jennifer (Paul) Rothfuss, Jedediah (Samantha) Sawyer, Jacob (Geneva) Scott, Jillian (Jason) Becker, Clarissa (Matthew) Topor and Danielle (Ryan) Hobart and great-grandchildren Dominic Sawyer, Liam Rothfus, Ashton Sawyer, Nathan Rothfuss, Joslynn Becker, Jae Jae Becker and one great-grandchild due in October. He was predeceased by his son Christopher Scott and sister Renee Hutchinson.
