Predeceased by his mother: Florence (Riley) McIntyre and father: Stanley McIntyre.

Jerry was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, NY.  He attended Corpus Christi grade school and graduated in the regents class from Williamson Central School District.

He received his B.S. and M.S. Degrees from State University College at Oneonta and Post Masters Certification from Oswego State, Potsdam State and Syracuse University.  Jerry happily taught for 30 years in the Ogdensburg City School District.

Jerry had a multitude of interests and hobbies.  He explored Northern Canada, the Adirondack Mountains and Southern Italy as well as hidden places like the Sculpture Park and Zoar Valley south of Buffalo, NY.  He climbed Mt. Washington in Northern New Hampshire.  He collected coins, stamps and Lionel electric toy trains.  Jerry tended to his gardens for continuous flowers from February into November.

His favorite interests were attending the Erie County Fair, the Windmill, the fall festivals, the Celtic and Irish Festivals in the area and especially the Renaissance Festival in Sterling, where he played the resident Leprechaun.

Jerry enjoyed playing Euchre every week at the American Legion Post in Livonia Center.  He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Elks Club, Audubon Society, SPCA and Train Collectors Association.
