Sodus/Clifton Springs: Shirley Bell Snyder was born on October 7, 1928 in Cambridge, NY to R. Alexander Bell and Letha Skellie Bell. She graduated from Cambridge Central School and lived in Hartford, NY. She later resided for many years in Sodus, NY until moving to Ashton Place, Clifton Springs, NY in 2015. Her daughters were with her at her passing on October 18, 2017.

Shirley loved God, her family, and friends. She will be remembered for her enthusiasm for others as well as her creativity, expressed in home, decorations, painting, and gardens. She is survived by her brother, R. Nelson Bell; daughters Marianne Sollosy Anderson and Margaret Sollosy Tiedemann; sons-in-law Hugo Anderson and Douglas Tiedemann; grandchildren Peter Tiedemann and wife Raisa Tiedemann, Nathaniel Tiedemann, and Katherine Tiedemann; great-granddaughters Aria Tiedemann and Harper Patenaude; and several well-loved nieces, nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by husband George C. Snyder, sister Marian Bell Anderson, and infant son Richard James Sollosy.

A private interment service at Sodus Cemetery is planned for family. A Memorial Celebration Service and reception will be at the Pultneyville (NY) Reformed Church on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1 pm.
