George Dennie, Jr. 

Williamson:  George Dennie Jr., ever faithful to his Lord, died April 4, 2016. We rejoice that he received his gift of eternal life. He was born on February 9, 1927 to George Dennie and Florence (Gilfus) Dennie.

George was predeceased by his parents and brother Donald Dennie.

Survived by his loving wife Esther R. (Collier) Dennie of 64 years and children Brenda Dixon and Steven (Susan) Dennie of Williamson; Sherryl (George) Kamper of Wilton Manors, Florida; grandchildren Rachel (Steve) Yonkers; Billy (Kelly) Dixon; Ryan Dixon (Jen Murray); Josh (Kristen) Dennie, Jason (Jennifer) Dennie, Jess Dennie (Laura Bertoni); Nicholas and Alexandra Kamper; great grandchildren Adria and Max Yonkers, Callen Dixon and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

George was one of the original members of Gus’s morning coffee crew, joining some of his best friends to discuss local happenings. He began his career at Garlock’s in Palmyra where he met Esther. He made many lifelong friends as a car salesman at Schyve Motors and Pitts Ford. He ended his career at the Williamson Water Treatment Plant.

George longed to see all of his family have a relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to see the next generation of Dennies added to the family tree.

A celebration of George’s life will be held at the Sodus Bible Baptist Church on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. Private interment will be held at Marion Cemetery.
