Betty Jane (Studer) Closs

Betty Studer Closs    (1919-2016)                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Rochester/North Rose:  Born February 10, 1919 in Lyons, NY to Harold and Bessie (Griffing) Studer. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at the age of 96, in the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester, NY.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ellen (Stanley) Pasieka of Michigan, Kathleen (Dwight) Duryea of Vermont and Florida, and Linda (Nicholas) Leoni of Rochester, NY: 8 grandchildren,  3 great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Edward R. Closs.

Betty was a life long member of the North Rose Methodist Church, and a 30 year faculty member of the North Rose Central School System. Betty was a prolific quilter and gifted her family with many beautifully crafted quilts.

Calling hours will not be observed. A memorial service honoring Betty’s life will be held in the Spring of 2016 with private interment in the Rose, NY Cemetery.
